ELF STUDIO MAKEUP MIST & SET REVIEW

Hi everyone!  For the longest time I have been wanting to add a setting spray to my makeup routine. I have never tried one before but have been hearing so many wonderful things about them.  I was hesitant because many of the brands I have seen have been a bit pricey. While shopping at Target one day I found out that ELF had a setting spray.  I was eager to give it a try with it's 3 dollar price tag! I was a bit skeptical, but what did I have to lose!

I am so happy I did, I love this product! It has really made a difference in my appearance.  I wanted to achieve a more natural look.  Unfortunately, at my age powder can settle in my fine lines and look cakey.  After I apply my makeup I spray a light mist about
12 inches from my face with my eyes closed.  I use about three sprays, it is a little wet feeling but I just fan my face with my hands for a few seconds til it dries.  I know some people have said they have noticed an unpleasant smell with this product but I have not had that experience at all.  I don't smell a thing.  My face looks less cakey and more natural.  Exactly what I was hoping it would, I especially like to use it with a matte foundation.  I do feel my makeup last longer as well!

I would recommend this to someone who wants a setting spray that works without the high price tag.  How it compare to those,  I can't say,  however I can say I have been really enjoying this product and will be repurchasing it over and over! Hope you find this review helpful!

A Smile is better then makeup!

Hi Everyone!

Recently,  I overheard a young attractive women with a gorgeous smile say,          "Sometimes I'm afraid to smile because I don't want wrinkles."  I know she was only joking, but I had to wonder if there was some truth in her statement.

Later that evening, as I was rubbing in my retinol face cream into 47 year old skin, her statement came back into my consciousness and it really made me stop and ponder.  Women in today's society are constantly being bombarded with anti-wrinkle cream and cosmetic procedure advertisements maybe this really isn't such a uncommon fear.  So, I decided to do some research...by research I mean I Googled.  I found 10 benefits to smiling and I wanted to share them with you.

1.  Smiling makes us more attractive.  Others are drawn to others smiling.

2.  Smiling lifts your face and makes you appear younger.

3.  Smiling exercises your facial muscle and prevents saggy and droopy skin.

4.  Smiling can change your mood, it releases endorphins

5.  Smiling can decrease stress

6.  Smiley people are more sucessful

7.  Smiling makes others around you feel good

8.  Smiling is contagious

9.  Smiling helps promote a happy marriage

10. Smiling can lead to a longer life

So, tonight as I put on my face cream I will do it with a smile!

Keep smiling girls!

GARNIER OLIA

Garnier Olia Review

Hi everybody welcome back to 40 and Fab!

I recently was given the opportunity to try Garnier Olia and I wanted to share with you my thoughts.  I have been coloring my hair myself for years and have used several different brands.  So, I am very familiar with the entire at home haircoloring process.  Olia is very different then any other haircoloring product, I have used in the past.

Olia is oil based, it is infused with natural flower oils.  I really enjoyed working with this formula of haircolor.  The first difference that I noticed was the scent, no nasty ammonia smell instead a pleasant floral scent.  Also, this formula did not drip like other hair dyes I have used.  The less mess the better!  The best part were the results, Olia really did make my hair feel healthier.  It left my hair in better condition then before coloring.  My hair was soft, smooth and shiny! I was thrilled, my hair is usually dry and brittle after coloring.  I couldn't ask for anything more in a haircolor!
